User to Admin ratio

Hello all,

I have a polling question for you all.  At you organization, what is your user to admin ratio?

A "User" is defined as someone who regularly spends their day modeling / drafting.  An "Admin" person is defined as someone who regularly spends their day building projects / supporting user questions / troubleshooting / developing / etc.  An "Admin" is also defined as someone who regulary spends half to all of the day doing only cat's and spec's work.

As a starter, we are at about a 25 Users to 1 Admin ratio.

Great Idea for a Poll!

I voted 50 to 1, but that's straight up adminstration no Cat's & Specs.

I went 20 to 1 so that the quality of the product wouldn't suffer. No one likes to be overwhelmed.

Not sure how to answer -- we have several people doing admin work, but none who do it even close to half time.

You may want to add an option for X users and 0 Admin.  Some of our clients do not have admin guys and just call us in when req'd.

I vote same as Mr. Blonde  (20:1)  .  Tuff task for the adminstrator!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like you need invest into a Cats and Specs person then.

Somewhat of a loaded question.  If you have an experienced user base then some of the admin/catalog and spec duties can be filtered out to them.  If not then you have to spend more time with individual users and more effort monitoring the quality of the modeling and drafting.
