  • Dear ViewPoint Americas Users Group Member,

I wanted to take a few minutes to update everyone on the Executive Members July meeting, but first I would like to make sure you are aware of Aveva’s webinars series and personally invite you to attend one of these webinar.  Click the link “learn more” to personally attend one of these informative webinars. We would like to hear back from you with any comments or concerns.

Now for the highlights from the Executive Members July meeting:

    1. Update to Aveva’s progress with the Aveva User Group development/planning.  At this time Aveva is developing the details around the Aveva User Group and hopes to go public in Q4 2009.
    2. Executive Members are still in the process of discovery on how to disband the current ViewPoint Americas User Group and our next step is to consult with a CPA in Delaware.   Delaware is where the User Group paperwork was filed; you can say our birth place.
    3. On the financial side of the meeting, we reported that all payments due for 2009 expenses have been paid in full, except for any cost that may accrue due to the act of disbanding.   If you would like to review the details on the actual budget, please call one of the Executive Members.
    4. The Executive Members reviewed all suggestions on “what to do with the funds after disbanding” and have developed a short list of two options.  Option 1 - Support PDMSWORLD or Option 2 - Gift to local colleges, i.e., HCCS, San Jacinto or both. We are currently in the discovery process for these options.
    5. The last item pertains to the discussion on the timing of disbanding ViewPoint Americas User Group. There is a concern that ViewPoint Americas User Group should not disband until Aveva’s delivery of the new Aveva User Group. The Executive Members will review this item at our next meeting.

The Executive Members would like to hear your comments or concerns on the items above either directly through PDMSWORLD or email any Executive Member.
