I wanted to take this opportunity to thank each and every member of PDMSWorld.com for spending the time to help other members that have had PDMS questions over the last 4 years. PDMSWorld.com was launched in 2006 with a goal to create a great online PDMS community which I feel it has grown into with the support of the great PDMS community members from around the world. As some know the site was created during a time that I was actively learning PDMS and it helped me by leaps and bounds along with the help from alot of the PDMSGurus out there.
At this point in my professional career as a Piping Designer here in Houston, Texas my company is not currently using PDMS. Instead we are using various Cad based softwares. I have had the opportunity to use just about every major Plant design software over the years and there is no question in my mind that I will use them all again at some point..... Ok enough rambling on lets get down to what the title of this thread is about.
Cadonia will be a portal into a network of 5 CAD based forums that target a specific niche of CAD software. All forums that are part of the Cadonia network will have the same basic layout that you have become familiar with on PDMSWorld. As a member of PDMSWorld you will not be registered to any of the other forums by default. Each forum will have its own member base that will grow slowly as the years go on. You are most definately welcomed to join any of the other sites in the network if you wish to do so at any time.
Personally I will most likely be spending more time on the websites that pertain to the software I am currently using, but as usual I will see all the post on my iphone. The moderators we currently have on PDMSWorld.com have done a great job over the years helping to shape what PDMSWorld is today and I look forward to finding new moderators for the new forums that have the same positive attitude we have become familiar with.
just thought i'd drop you a line and let you know that i'm currently in Singapore. I arrived here last thursday the 25th after 2 days of travel that included Houston, Texas USA, Moscow, Russia, and finally arriving here in Singapore at 5am after an exhautive journey.
I spent my first few days getting used to my new surroundings and visiting some local landmarks. Also am currently looking for a new residence here as it seems i'll be here for quite some time. This is quite a bustling city and there is always something going on. I've counted numerous Ferrari's and Lambo's .. you would definitly love this place.
I'll try to keep you posted with the goings on here, as well as some amazing pictures of the city. I'm probably going to be moving into the Orchard Scotts Residences, so if you're ever in Singapore, please look me up.
Hi expert.. I don't quite get your message.
Can you please at least provide some hyperlinks to the portal?
Since it's a network and some links will make more sense. Thanks....
PDMSGURU, I hope you'll have a great time in Singapore.
Learning a bit of Hokkien and Singlish might help you understand the culture there.
South East Asians tend to have less understanding on privacy so you might want to have less expectation of privacy from people there.
Don't forget to try the delicious and wonderful durian. And also F1 racing is held in Malaysia next Sunday.
Have fun!
There are no links yet because I am in the process of building all the sites that will be a part of the portal. All new so I am building on my free time.
UPDATE: CADPLANT - Plant Design Software Discussion Forum is now live and is the first of the sites that will launch as time goes on. As stated before this is a separate forum with separate user database dedicated to all other PLANT DESIGN Softwares on the market. Feel free to Register and join in on the discussions.
Unfortunately there has not been much activity or interest in having a general Plant design forum so I am cancelling CADPLANT.com forum until further notice.
