Linestyle for single line steel that has a setback at the connection points

  • Yes you can, you need to set-up a style which only has the Memberline set. Then set the style of everything else to OFF

Make the Memberline something like Style = Solid and Thick and any colour you like.

See Draft Administrator Application User Guide -10.1.2 Setting Style Attributes

This does assume the the sections within Design have the Meml attribute set correctly, if its a W section then i would set it to TOS. If you don't see it use the Modify > Specification. Its the last of the 3 drop downs at the bottom of the form.

You then need to set the VGAP attribute on the VIEW within Draft, make it something lie 5mm. I am sure its under Modify > View > Limits-defined or user defined then select the attributes button. VGAP should be in there.

See Draft User Guide - 3.5.13 View Gap Length

"The VGAP attribute allows you to define the size of the gap that DRAFT inserts in View lines where they are crossed by non-solid primitives such as Plines, centrelines, DRAWIs, etc.The default value is 1.5mm."
