    thanks for the feedback andreyov. But the thing is why would I want to store this info for a 2D drawing in model?
    There's annotation in draw that ideally would just be in that database. Coz if you wanted to for example specify a Complete Penetration weld in the detail drawing based on your idea i would have to go into model and then edit a UDA and then savework. and then getwork in draw and then update the SLAB.
    Also then I will be adding more and more UDAs to Model elements e.g. PIPE, STRU, SCTN

    and then it is not necessary to add more and more attributes in the Model.
    In this case, if the UDAs are "bound" to SLAB, it will be easier to have a program of automated filled of values, IMHO

    The limit on characters has been removed in E3D and is greatly improved in 12.1

    The character limit hasn't been removed completely. its been increased to something like a 1000. It's a bit annoying coz they should just make it unlimited
