If you have the license from AVEVA for your laptop then you have to fulfill requirement of the vendor but not use cards which is "better" for gaming purposes
So you mean the graphics card which i am using currently is suitable for gaming purposes...not for PDMS....right?
[QUOTE=RUAV;85188]I mean there is a list of graphic cards recommended by AVEVA. At least there were tested and in this case you can ask your AVEVA representative what is wrong with the card and get advise if it harm your work
But if your card is not there and you face the problems with graphics then I don't know how to help here except saying update drivers whether backwards or forwards and test again.
Do you have this card in the list or have you seen any GeForce cards there? Quadro family is the Nvidia family specially dedicated to the CAD systems and GeForce as far as I know more to gaming. The difference is - different methods of graphics processing and treating
Quadro - http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/quadro-workstation-graphics-uk.html
GeForce - http://www.geforce.co.uk/
Hmmm...Now I got it.....Actually I was unaware about the fact that there are different graphics cards for CAD system & gaming. Also I was thinking that GEFORCE suits well for CAD systems also. I had never heard of Quadro Graphics cards. Thank you so much RUAV....Nice explanation....
