How do I prevent security system issues and reset the security system?

The security system of an InduSoft project can become corrupt because of things like unexpected shutdowns of InduSoft or unexpected power losses to the InduSoft runtime machine.

Typical errors seen include:
Your security group does not allow to run this project.
Error! Security System could not be loaded.
Invalid Security System File(TAGL.BIN) !

Updating to the latest Service Pack and Patch of your runtime's current version, and upgrading to the latest version of InduSoft, help in preventing the security system from becoming corrupted.

However, if the security system has become corrupt on an InduSoft runtime machine, then the best solution is to restore a good copy of the project folder to the machine. This means another copy of the project, either zipped or not, must be available to be restored. If a good copy of the project folder is not available, then please contact InduSoft support for assistance.

Reinstalling the InduSoft runtime is not required, the security system is contained in the project folder and not the runtime's installation files.

Attached is a guide on how to restore a good copy of the project folder if you are experiencing security system issues.
