Unfortunately when I followed up on this demo app back in February, I found out in a blog (written by a developer for them) somewhere that VLC, because they are an open source application, doesn't have the staffing or funding to support the ActiveX control, so they took it down from their website at that time. I dug around for awhile and found that there were still a few aggregator sites (beware of malware on these!) that were hosting the ActiveX control, but I think that most of those are gone now too. I noticed a more recent blog on a C++ website from sometime in the summer stating that the control is still being supplied with the VLC installation package, and since they just came out with the Two-Flower update, I can't say for certain that it is available at this point. It is also possible that some manufacturers of things like IP cameras are still supplying it in their installation routine, but you will have to research this on your own.
Normally it is installed and registered on your machine when you install the VLC Media Player along with the needed .dlls. If, after installing VLC on your machine, you don't see it in the Registered ActiveX controls pull-down in InduSoft Web Studio, then it is not registered on the machine.
