This application demonstrates the usage of the SetDisplayValue() function to determine what value will be displayed in screen objects such as Text Data Link and Trend Control for those tags which have been configured with a default Engineering Unit property. The function is implemented in multiple ways to show how it can be used to implement engineering unit conversion on the displayed values without actually changing the raw values in the tags. The Trend Control displays the high and low range limits on the Y axis scale and legend, and the legend also shows engineering units in effect for the object and the display value for the configured tags, according to the selected conversion.
