Dynamic and Custom Triggers for Trending, Script Execution, Etc

Title: Dynamic and Custom Triggers for Trending, Script Execution, Etc

Platforms: Windows, Windows Embedded, Linux

Version: v8.1 SP0 P0, but should work with v7.0 and up

This sample application demonstrates how to create custom triggers and dynamic triggers.

A trigger based on any length of time in seconds can be created, adjusted, started, and stopped during runtime.

The trigger can then be tied to a trend worksheet, script worksheet, or other scripts and symbols as required.

Most of the logic takes place within the Scheduler task.

  • Hi Aveek,

Whelps, this answers my questions about scripting!  I was trying to use scripts to create a ten second and a five minute pulse.  I have another script that speeds up the execution of the Main Driver Sheet.  When I had the five minute script running it was raining hell on my Main Driver Update!  I think I proved to myself this PM that the scripts run sequentially, not concurrently.  Yes, this was an attempt to trigger Trending sheets!

Thanks a bunch for the example!  Ya saved me some work!
