Communication IWS 7.1 + EGx100 (Schneider) + ION7300

Hello,

i have the above equipments and i´m trying to acquire data from the ion7300 (modbus address for the variable is 40095). the egx100 ip adress is 10.0.0.1 and the ion7300 modbus id is 1. On the driver sheet i set my station as 10.0.0.1:502:1 but i received the timeout waiting start a message error and code -15. Can anyone help me?

  • Try the program ModScan from your computer to see if you can talk to it that way. When you get the correct response in Modscan you are home. We are using IWS to talk major Modbus and have had to result to Modscan on several occasions to find out what the correct settings were for the equipment we were talking to. Also be advised if you are reading more than one location, some vendors have registers marked reserved and if you try and read them (say in the middle of a block) the read will fail
