we are also facing this type of problem in our design DB is it enough to do the expunge of user and claimlists or do we have to do a internal data consistency check for the particular DB

Are you both working for the same firm? You can try and also do an expunge of user and claimlists. Try to leave PDMS via the normal way not using the X like in "normal' windows applications. You can do a dice check on your MDB to see if anything is wrong with it.
