pdms: goods&bads

bad:pdms has not a own library, everytime you need a new pipe element you must create it

You are supplied with a catalogue when you buy the system.
The fact that it is not very comprehensive and needs updating has kept me working for the last fifteen years at various companies. I have lived in cities around the world (Australia USA Canada Norway Sweden) because of it.

So I dont see that as a problem

Pitch is correct.  It comes with over 40,000 components/specs.

so, what are the weak points of PDMS?

I believe that every CAD system has big potential inside. After first year with PDMS I thought "Wow! This is the best of best CAD system!". But for some years I met professionals who worked in other systems - P4D, SP3D ... and I changed my opinion. Of course different system - different functionality, but all of them are alive and brings money to developers and to users.
Strong side of every system is it's skilled users and support who knows how to use standard functionality, had many years experience and feels non-documented potential. Weak points was described by ianmp
