Is it possible to prepare User defined end connections in PDMS...?

Hi everyone,

   Is it possible to prepare User defined end connections in PDMS...? bcoz i found only end connections like Butt weld , Socket weld , Threaded ,Plain end and compression end connections only in PDMS but my client asking me about Mechanical joints something like Bell mounted shapes and some type of end preparations used for sanitary piping etc...........

If it is possible can anyone guide me ........Thanks

IT IS POSSIBLE..you just need to create new coco and add abbr of the joint type in its attrib ctype

eg in your case bell mounted shapes can be abbrevated as BMS
so create new coco with Attrib CTYPE eq BMS BMS ...
so that they can be connected to each other..

Thanks for ur response .........but how can i get the end connection symbol in my iso (Just like SW,BW,FL..............)

Creating  COCO and CTYPE setting is used to avoid connection incompaibility only...........

Either use a symbol nearest to what you want (in this case SW will be OK) or create your own symbols

You would need to define new component symbols with the required connection type. I dont believe you can just add connection types

I have an idea that you cannot create them without creating the component they are attached to.

Suppose if i want bell mounted elbo, I can create the bell mounting shape at the ends of elbo in paragon component creation....but what end connection skey i have to choose for the arrive n leave p-points....If I want Sock-weld i can go for it, but if i want bell mounting shape for elbo in my iso....then what i have to do..?
