Whats happening in PDMSWorld?

Hi all

I was quite a regular lurker of this forum a couple of years ago (I even posted some stuff..). Anyhow - I've been into piping this whole time, but using SP3D during all projects

To my question:
What has happened with PDMS these past years? I read somewhere about 12.1 having awesome new functions?
The .NET-functionality - is it being used and developed?
Browsing through the PML section it looks much the same..

Hell h3nrik, most questions have been asked and answered on the forum, it is just that 'new' arrivals do not search the forum (search function could be better). Yes I have seen 12.1.1 and it has an extended reporting function. I did not look at all the new functions yet....

..hehe, yes, most questions asked now are the same as before :)

Just a guess, is the new reporting someting based on .NET that interacts directly with Excel? (or maybe even you design the report in excel as SP3D)
Is there any videos or presentations online covering the reporting?

It sure looks that way...I only opened it and closed it again quickly..... If you ask nicely maybe Cody can make one for you?

The new reporting in PDMS is from DevExpress called XtraReports.  You can find some videos on YouTube.

Nice- does it talk directly to the dabacon database, or via .Net ? Or is it a two step process, .Net to SQL and then into DevExpress?

Maybe some of the videos tell the answer if I watch enough..but haven't come that far yet ;)
