• wow, i'm so proud of expert.  when this site first started I never imagined it would become what it has.  I have just returned from a nice restful trip and I'm ready to get back into the site.  I'll be full time for the next couple of days trying to clear all of these posts I have not seen.  Look for me and feel free to PM me,  i'm really happy to be back!
  • Come on PDMSWorld users Vagas?  Do you all realize that this is a serous poll, AVEVA was actually considering Vagas.  How many people would actually attend. I suspect very low turn-out.
  • Welcome back you missed a great conference and I met alot of great people.
  • yes, the conference was really great - I've just started diving into PDMS and all so it was nice to see what all is involved and what all can be done - plus, it was nice meeting others and the mystery dinner theater thing was um, interesting...hehe

    (wow, my first post...hehe)
  • This forum has 1,124 (Members) and which 462 (Active Members).  This poll only has a total of 34 votes....come on.  Get in there and VOTE!.  It's like the elections....if you don't vote then you cannot "complain".

We as the usergroup need some honest feedback here as we be selecting next years venue soon and want some "real" opions on the location listed.  It has to be benefical to the group...not just fun stuff after the conferece.  It has to be somewhere that companies will send their staff and believe they are there to learn to improve their skills.

    Altanta - 8.82% (3 Votes)
    Houston - 26.47% (9 Votes)
    New Orleans - 20.59% (7 Votes)
    Las Vegas - 44.12% (15 Votes)

I think Houston works for alot of reasons (location, close to most, higher aveva participation, joint VPA/ISEIT, etc.), but maybe a different hotel.  Vegas would be fun, but would be hard to get users back in their seats for 2nd/3rd days.

VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!
  • ViewPoint Americas is scheduled to meet with AVEVA to discuss the location for the next conference the on Thursday, November 16th.  If anyone has a preference to where or where-NOT the conference should be held, please let us know ASAP.
  • Yes PDMSWorld does not have a problem with me going? Of course I need to arive a few days ahead to prepare for the conference. If we have it in Vegas next year I am going to do everything in my power to bring all my moderators.

I heared you need more moderators. I have experience :) My vote is for Vegas.
  • I personally would like Tucson on the list. I like the wilder west. Lots of Metals and Mining companies out there too, and many of the folks there never get a chance to see the AVEVA products or talk to those who use them.
Otherwise, Atlanta is good. It's sort of centrally located so many could attend.
I don't like the idea of Vegas - PDMS & the other AVEVA products aren't a 'gamble'.
    Houston is OK too.
  • We have only had 1 vote in 3days... Come on PDMSWORLD.  Let's hear from everyone!
