Interesting video :) Is it your work? On one hand, it could speed up the design process a lot by making changes in AutoCAD instead of PDMS and seamless export / import between two system if you are unfamiliar with PDMS and a long time AutoCAD 3D user. On the other hand...what is to gain in terms of speed? i.e. would a pipe bridge be modeled much faster this way, rather than only in PDMS?
Very useful if you have old plant in AutoCAD 3D and customers wants to keep it up to date or some other department in the company or subcontractor only uses AutoCAD.
My personal view if that is genuine from other software is ok to transfer into PDMS so that we can avoid or reduce rework..
but if it is a brand new element PDMS user should learn how to master PDMS and not rely on other software to create PDMS element.. unless we really need it.
