I have an aveva dongle license (usb license).
I have already installed this license on my pc using in office.
I have another laptop for business trip.
I wonder that i can install dongle license to my laptop?
I was just about to ask the same question....I want to host a license on a laptop...
Do you use the CALM cloud system to get your licenses?...My idea is to get the laptop's MAC address and give this information to AVEVA so they configure
another "server" in CALM.
Since the flexman user environment variable will be 744@localhost I feel sure that PDMS or any AVEVA product should work on the laptop even if its not connected to
a network.
I think it will be fine to install the license file on the laptop as long as that laptop is the one used for the locking code of the license. We have tried it before and it works fine.
we did not use CALM as we requested our license directly to our AVEVA Representative.
