Hi

As a matter of fact, this is not an easy and quick task.

If you are using AVEVA Engineering 14.2, you should define Line Element Types (UDETs), required attributes (UDAs), Distributed Attributes (To control access of Different Disciplines on their UDAs), etc.

It may be required to ask AVEVA for Training Course(As we did), or you can use software manuals and do it step by step which I know that is not an easy job.

I didn't work with AVEVA Engineering 15.3.

I think UDETs are pre-defined in AVEVA Engineering 15.3.

You can refer to Software manual (Press F1 in Software environment), Conceptual Model Section.

AVEVA Engineering software will be used for generating Datasheets, List Datasheet like Line List, Control Different Discipline's Access, Revision Control on Data Sheets, Highlight Changes of Datasheets/Lists, Compare/Update data between different modules like Diagram and Engineering, etc.

If you you just require a list of lines in AVEVA Diagram, You can use SEARCH in AVEVA Diagrams and find all SCPLINs in the project.

YES,

Data will be transferred from AVEVA Diagrams Database to AVEVA Engineering Database by Compare/Update Process. Tags will be linked together.

It will be possible then to link tags to 3D Elements too.
