Use of PDMS for 'MANAGEMENT'

For example, you could monitor and report on design progress using Status Control tool....

Hi,
As Engineer I am using PDMS for 3D modeling, generating 2D drawings, various kind of Bill of materials, location schedules, weight calculation etc.
So as far as 'DESIGN' purpose I found it miracle and user-friendly.
But wish to know further what kind of 'MANAGEMENT' activities we can execute with this software ?
Can we use it to monitor users, count time for modifications or revisions, progress reporting etc. ?
