There are advices for PDMS but I do not know if they are also valid for Marine Design Outfitting.

Yes they are valid for Aveva Marine Outfitting, too.
You need Aveva Marine Outfitting + Aveva Laser Model Interface + Aveva Point Cloud Manager (LFM Server rebrand) at the same time

    Hi Guys,

I am using Aveva Marine 12.1.SP4 Outfitting and there is a project which I need to use laser scan data. What do I need to import and work on point cloud in Outfitting Module? I have searched about it, yet could not find a solid answer. There are advices for PDMS but I do not know if they are also valid for Marine Design Outfitting.

    Thanks.

    Yes you can.
I would suggest to contact your local Aveva Office in Turkey.
They will help you with the upgrade process

    Thanks Corrado,

We are now considering to use E3D since it is adviced us that E3D is more suitable to work with laser scan data. Now my concern about E3D is, if I can use my previous catalogue and spec. databases which I have created for Marine Outfitting project, for an E3D project. Because if I need to create catalogues and specs. anew that would take lots of time.
