Viewing Dabacon data?

I don't know much about Dabacon.

My understanding is E3D and PDMS data is stored in files, which is collectively knows as Dabacon.

I'm just wondering, is it possible to open and view the contents of these files outwith PDMS? For example, writing a Python script to open and extract the data, or using SQL?

I'd like to take view the data, and then maybe link that up with something like PowerBI.

Regards

Aaron

  • You can try with Aveva Integration Service.

This comes from the Installation Guide:

AVEVA Integration Service (Service) provides easy, quick and effective data transfers between different data sources (AVEVA and non-AVEVA product data) installed in different machines on the network. It provides a common platform for Plant, Marine and Engineering products for accessing and using data from other products so that the data management across products can be done effectively. The Service allows administrators to configure a variety of data sources such as AVEVA P&ID, AVEVA Engineering, AVEVA Diagrams, AVEVA E3D Design (formerly known as AVEVA Everything3D), AVEVA Schematics, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft SQL Server.

I am not an expert of AIS so I would suggest to contact your local Aveva Office
