    Hi,

Is it possible to publish a PDMS model in the IFC 2x3 format?

    Thanks,
    Ben

    Hi

No, IFC export is not available in PDMS nor E3D at this point in time.

No AVEVA IFC interfaces are available yet - the first to be released is planned to be import to E3D from IFC files, and we are thinking about future possibiliites.

What data would you hope to export to IFC? geometric data, attributes, or both? What would you want the receiving system to be able to do with the data?

No IFC export from E3D yet, but if you are interested in importing IFC data into E3D you may like E3D 2.1 fix 7, which should now be available on support.aveva.com

    Indeed...
But it's a first version and there are many missing features :
    - mapping objects to IFC items
    - mapping E3D attributes to IFC properties
And there is a major issue : branches come in one piece, so the valves or flowmeters are not individual objects...
So wait and see (and claim for improvements to AVEVA !)
