I have converted an AutoCAD File in STL then STL to E3D.
The Converted file in E3D can be referenced but its not getting any sort of support for routing the pipes like ID@ command and Identification of actual positions
I wish to know is there any possible commands to which will help to model faster then measuring and working ??
Importing STL files, if I remember well, generates POHE or/and POGO primitives. And they do not have P-Points.
On the other side you could try using MEI (Mechanical Equipment Interface) but you will get GENPRI elements with no P-Points too.
So if your scope is "tracing" an Autocad file for re-modelling pipes, a possible solution could be importing 2D DXF/DWG (available in E3D2.1 and 3.1).
So you get E3D 2D primitives (AIDLIN, AIDARC etc) that can be snapped.
