Hi all, I have a trouble in controlling cut pipe piece when upgrade the isodrawing to the next revision.
When I issue the first revision of iso using Isodraft, the piece is numbering <1> to <5> sequently (for example). However, design change and we add one more weld in piece number <2> in order to split it into two single new pieces. Re-producing the next iso revision, the piece will re-number <1> <2> <3> <4> <5> <6>
The piece <3> to <5> now become <4> to <6>.
Any solution to keep unchangeable piece as original number (<3> to <5> in this case).
And piece <2> will become <2> and <6> (the biggest number after change).
Thank Deva. Could you please advise in more detail that how user can customize option file for which section in this case?
In conventional, our designers have to modify in AutoCAD environment which is time-consuming and human error might always occur. Therefore, I just brainstorm the innovative solution to control it more effectively.
You should look into spooler module and use it to create the isometrics.
Hi Sir, Yes. I can and I am using Spooler module to generate SPLDRG isometric drawing. I can manage the change of spool number, but pieces are different story. One spooler can include one or several cut pieces. And the piece number can only create after generating isometric completely. I honestly have no way to get that piece number in Design or Spooler Module. How can we control the piece number as my first question?

Mr. Corrado. That topic is subjected to Spool prefix, not piece number control. I can query the piece number as per spool in SPOOLER Module by using SPLMTO object (CUTPIECES attribute). But it's totally different from piece numbering from ISODRAFT.
Any idea sir?
Do not stop just reading the topic title!!!
My link was to a specific post of that thread where I am saying:
"For those who are using SPOOL module, I would suggest to take a look at the Pipe Fabrication tool set within Piping Discipline in MODEL.
That is a powerful, modern and up-to-date set of functionalities dedicated to pipe fabrication needs."
