Yar_nl ,..I know that procedure of merging two rvm's , i am not talking about it......Ok....I am asking with one time file export i got the above which i have shown in jpg's how it is possible..?
I guess a possibility still remains: Saving the merged file as a new one and using it.
Or did he create a single RVM. In that case, the setting declarations at the beginning of macro will hold key. I do not have manuals with me but
most probably it was Design Reference Manual 4 which has RVM export settings described.
Also I noticed on the other post that the file was getting corrupted while creating. There are some issues with Navisworks and I do not know whether
it has been documented somewhere:
When Navisworks starts reading RVM it creates .nwc (Cache) file first. During this geometry importing the RAM is used extensively and everything is
stored in Cache file first. Once everything is imported then it compresses the duplicate geometry and creates a trimmed version of the .nwc which you
can then save as .nwd. If the RAM is not available then program tries to readjust on its own (by compressing little) but mostly the created item is corrupt.
In this case, advisory action is:
1. Shut down all other operations (to free up the RAM) except Navis and try.
2. Break the model (if its huge) into smaller RVMs and import.
And if any of these is not working then maybe ask IT to ramp up your PC with additional RAM.
There are two checkpoints (one is task manager and second is Navisworks Status Bar).
I had to realise this hard way....see if you get its documentation.
Thanks for your reply shri...............it's a single rvm file only........not only he even if i export it from that project with insulation on ........ I got the same rvm file which i have shown in above jpg's.......But for my project i am not getting......
In the macro, you need to add a line which is
EXPORT INSU ON for insulation
EXPORT OBST ON for obstruction
The syntax above might be incorrect but you can perhaps refer Design Reference Manual 4 of which last section was on review file creation if I remember correctly.
