• Hello, can somebody tell me how to export PDMS model to Naviswoks, please?

    Thanks a lot
  • There are many threads that explain this.....
Use the Search utility of this forum......or contact your Autodesk dealer... :-)
  • Create a .rvm file from PDMS then open Navisworks Manage. Open the .rvm created from PDMS.
You will need Navisworks Manage, Simulate, or Review to open and convert rvm file to nwd or nwf file types.
    Hope this helps
  • If you want the attributed data as well you will need to db out an att file and have the rvm and att file have the same name and path information.
  • to yomama: how to create the attributed data? thank u
  • You just need to to a standard DB listing and save the file as a .att file instead of a txt file.  Then if the .att and .rvm reside in the same folder with the same title when you open the RVM file in NW it will read the data as well.
  • You may use Utilities > Export > Dump attributes

  • Use partial files (site1.rvm, site1.att), (site2.rvm, site2.att), .... , (siteN.rvm, siteN.att) and load it in Naviswork with the same order. I should say a huge model is developed in Naviswork too long.
  • If your dblisting you shouldn't need to dump the attributes...

The dblist is a text file and is read as the model is opened...so I don't understand why you want to run it in...
