Spool ( marked piece ) quantity from Design?

Hello gurus,

I've searched, but I can't find an answer to this.

Is there a way to get a quantity of spools from the design module? Currently using PDMS 12.0 SP6. Isodraft gives us spool (Marked piece) numbers on the face of the iso, but we'd like to get that quantity in advance.

go to PIPE and type below lines:
var !tub coll all TUBI for ce
q var !tub.size()

 

I think you could have at least a couple of methods:

1) Design Module - Pipework Application - Utilities-->Production Checks
2) Spooler Module - Here you get SPOOL / FIELD elements and you can generate reports

1. In Option File added --> SpoolNumbers  Prefix FROMDB
2. In design, fill the attribute of pipe --> Splprefix 'name of line number -  '

Thank you for the reply, however that only allows the spools to be named. corrado had the correct answer, Now I need a way to output the quantity since we're not using spooler module.

I am stuck here in one of the utility creation where I have to report all Mark-Spool Piece in Excel file.

Can we Generate Spool MTO using Pipe Fabrication ??

I had a question regarding spool mark numbers?

the spool mark number is by its default starting from "1". is it possible to change like "01".
