only works for single types... what if I want to choose if the bolts are shop true or false.
If I wanted to do this with Pipe I would create separate spref and then manually choose them. With old bolting we used to assign different bolt sprefs to individual flanges but we don't assign bltrefs to components in new bolting.
Thanks Pitch, I have tried this too. BSEL works a treat using two entries as you have described, but with the default entry, what value do you use for BSEL for SHOP FALS ?
If we give it a value, design will require us to also set BSEL for site flanged components and not leave blank ?
I have tried leaving it unset '=0/0' but no luck.
If you look at the sample spec I posted, Header Default for BSEL is set to DEF, and BSEL is set to DEF for each BOLT (all SHOP FALS)
You only need to change the BSEL for your SHOP TRUE BOLTs.
You only need to set BSEL in Design where SHOP TRUE is required.
When the iso is processed Items where BSEL is set will use the corresponding BOLT
Where BSEL is not set then the DEF bolt will be used.
Hi Pitch,
Tanks for sharing, unfortunately I just a quite beginner and cant open the file in my PDMS 11.6, I am opening via command line and get error File not Found.
This thread keeps disappearing. Surely Guides should have a longer shelf life.
As guides, they exist for reference purposes and will not have regular postings, so an apparent lack of activity is to be expected
