Rahul, maybe you can find some more info at PARAGON and SPECON forum. In ver. 11.6 you can create spec only at SPECON (Catview don´t work good) and components at PARAGON , from ver. 12 you can create spec in Paragon too. Brief manuals can help with start, but for spec creating you need know a lot of things around.

Yes, manuals are incomplete, some informations are missing and some of them you can find in manual for other module etc. . Aveva suppose you will pay for training and then you receive training manual which lead you step by step.
If your company do not want pay for course, the only way how to find out how it all works is trying and reading manuals for some details (and forum :tears_of_joy: ) .... you can take spec or component which is correct, try to understand and modify... start creating  catalogue from zero can be hard, but i know people who did it. I get some basic from my colleague, but about 40% i have from manuals or from  personal experience.
Help is of course possible... but you need start step by step, catalogue ins´t so simple... how are components done, how prepare pointset and how it is connected with SKEYs, what is SPCO and it´s references, selectors and settings....
