Pdms test project creation

If you read the manual carefully it says:

Run the utility makemac.mac by typing: $m/%PDMSEXE%/makemac.mac

If this doesn't wark you can try with $m/%PDMSEXE%\makemac.mac

Dear All,

i just struggled with test project creation in PDMS 12.

As per Aveva manual i have set environmental variables, then i tried to create

test project by using make.bat from command menu and then entered test prject

name with three alphabet and i have seen asterisk ( *) then tried to type

makemac.mac to run the utility. But i got syntex error.

Can anyone tell me what is the next step i have to carried out?

But in PDMS 12 you can make a project with the Project creation wizard.

I experienced similar problem:
Please I need your guide to open PDMS 12 for use.
I installed the PDMS 12, but I cannot start it, the way we start version 11.6.
There is need to create project, I have tried to create project with the create project wizard, but it is still showing that the user’s Environment variables not set.
Please help out on how to set the user’s Environment variables, or how to open the PDMS 12.
If you have tutorial or manual  for this problem you can send it to me.

Have you read C:\AVEVA\Plant\PDMS12.0.SP6\Manuals\Docs\Administrator User Guide.pdf Chapter 6 Project Creation Wizard ?

Project Wizard application should change/update your evars.bat file automatically.
But depending on your PDMS installation, you may have to update it manually....
