As you can see from the picture, the selected element (current element) is a SCTN.
This means that someone has implemented it in Paragon as a new structural Category.
This doesn't come by default with PDMS.

I am just thinking about the graphical performances......but I guess they should be ok!
Another consideration.
The software in the picture is NOT PDMS.
It's a Viewer.
So another solution could be that the CE in PDMS is a "full box" section and ot has been applied a texture on it afterward.

From previous experience with other software, when we have produced grating or serrated stair treads the graphics and general performance have taken a massive hit. Generally it's just not worth it.
