My organisation has a will to upgrade few of our licens to E3D.
If anyone has some valid point to justify this decision like Presentation or some sort of things will be more useful add will add value for this justification to financial management team.
I have attended a seminar conducted by AVEVA about E3D.
Basically they focus on Design and Draft (in E3D it's Draw).
In draft, I can say it's a drastic improvement. I can't even enumerate all those improvemets but to give you an idea. In PDMS it takes more or less 20mins to generate one Sheet containing one Plan View, but in E3D, it will take only 5mins.
In design, improvements focus on ease of modelling. Laser-scanned models can now interact with your model, you can snap to it and run a clash check, model editor can now snap to pipe insulations, improve graphical rendering, improve ASL modelling, etc.
AVEVA is offering free seminar about E3D. You can contact them directly.
