You need to use a FITT. And a TMPL, set the ZDIS of the FITT to Prop 0 for the start or Prop 1 for the end of the SCTN. In the TMPL you can then use a NXTR to cut away the parts you don't want.
The same method can be used for the notches you want. You can set the ZDIS of the FITT to correspond to the position along the SCTN that you want the notch.
Do a search on here, I am sure there is plenty of info about FITT, TMPL etc.
alternatively, if the end of the SCTN is connected to another SCTN does you company not have a set of catalogue joints that includes sniped cuts etc?
