Accuracy - Orientation / ZDIR

It may be your Zone has been rotated from its default position & orientation.

use commands wrt/* along with the query command. like ZDIR WRT/* & ORI WRT/*.

I think you misunderstood me. The beam could be drawn with a very slight angle (0.001) yet when I interrogate it with q zdir, E3D reports it as being straight, which it is not. I need more accuracy

May I know the reason why you need such accuracy?

That was just an example, but certainly most ofthe people that I work with on projects want to see a member straight, not near enough. So Eastings / Northings or starts and ends that match. ie orthgonal

Honestly speaking...one undredth of a millimiter is hard "to see".

E3D is used for plants and ships and not  for precision mechanics.

Not be a fat blob but what kind of profiles are you building with?
EN 10 034 the straightness deviation for a HEA100 is 0.3% x L

You can select the GENSEC and type(assuming it is straight with only two POINSP)
