I want to know the level of granularity on bolt length reporting. Typically our DTABs are in 0.25 inch increments. However, the client may want it to the nearest mm. In addition, they want the bolt calculation to include 2 threads beyond the nut. My plan was to use the XTRA attribute on the SBOL to accommodate this requirement. Is there a limit to the array values in the DTAB? I haven’t tested this and I wanted to tap into others experience in this matter before going forward.
Two threads is a normal requirement when calculating bolt lengths.
If you want the exact length of bolt in mm then I think you will need to make a DTAB with lengths in 1mm increments.
