• In our piping class
for bore size 15-40 mm-->  bolt material is ASTM A193-B8
for bore size 50-400mm -->bolt material is ASTM A193-B7.

For 2" WN flange 150# RF --> studbolt 5/8" UNC, material ASTM A193-B7
for  3/4" SW Flange 300# RF --> Studbolt 5/8" UNC, material ASTM A193-B8

So, for Bdia 5/8" i got two kind of material.
As far as i know, PDMS use BDIA and bolt type to select SBOL from the bolt spec. Then, is there any way to overcome my situation, when BDIA and Btype is not enough as an input to select SBOL???

    :frown:

    Well then....HAPPY NEW YEAR Y'ALL
  • In the spec give a different BSEL for each.
In DESIGN, set the BSEL to the correct value for each component of the joint (not including the gasket or wafer components)
  • pitch, thanks for the answer.

it seems this is the only way to deal with the problem.

well, i need to create a macro to do this job - find the flange that meet the above problem criteria then change the BSEL in design - to avoid complicating the designer if they are asked to do this manually.
