Got a problem with some bolts and while I've got some ideas on how to fix it I'm wondering if there is a better way.
I have a metric project and the project team has decided that they now want imperial bolts in some specifications and metric in others.
They want metric bolts to have the correct NS in metric and Imperial bolts to have the correct NS in Imperial in the material list.
Now I can get it all coming out as Imperial (which the client does not want) which works for the B16.5 bolting or I can get it all coming out as metric (which the client does want) which is fine for the EN 1092 related bolting.
To give you an example the NS column reports a 1.1/8" bolt as 29mm based on rounding up the exact conversion from imperial to metric when I'm trying to get it to say 1.1/8 INS.
So far I've considered having a parameter on the bolt SCOM that is mapped to the description and having an UDA that is mapped to a column.
Mixing imperial and metric is always unpleasant :)
We have the size in the detail text for bolting, so if we need to use some imperial we just ignore whatever the nominal size table says and have the correct imperial size in the detail text.
