Purpose attribute

Hi,

The data type of PURP attribute of ZONE is WORD which can have 4 characters, but I need to store 6 characters.

This can be done by key in PURP value through PROPERTIES form. 

But it is taking only first 4 characters when we ATTRIBUTES form or by entering command in command window.

Is there a way to store 6 characters in PURP attribute without using PROPERTIES form.
