In Isodraft is known as Transfer File.
In ISodraft: Isometric-->Standard
Then you can select if you want to produce an iso, a batch file, a bolt report or.....a Transfer File.
Hope this can help..
What do you want to do with the IDF?
I have seen a IDF convertor that can read in IDF files at a colleagues laptop.
You need to do a bit of mapping but i works pretty OK.
firstly I was trying to get a knowledge of IDF format and how its supported in PDMS.
We have received a IDF format from one of our Clients as i opened that IDF file in notepad it shows its created in AVEVA PDMS Isodraft Mk12.0.SP6.7 VCON
I tried to open these file as per Corrado in PDMS Isodraft Mk12.0.SP6.26 module in Utilities process transfer file I am getting an error as
Unable to process transfer file: Error opening message file T:\12\EAG\EAGdraw\I SOMAKER\AREA-400\PIPE\FINAL\/MESS//DC-38 001-420-01-0.txt
Usually there shouldn't be problems opening transfer files generated with PDMS.
It seems it is trying to open the mess file located in a folder in the t:\ drive
Could you check if you have that location mapped in your PC?

corrado
Client has only forwarded the .idf file
Do we need to ask the other supportive files from the Client as there is no mess file
