I'm pretty sure you can't do intelligent math in labels. What you could do is store a formula in a uda then write a macro that would update all labels with formulas.

You can get the difference between do values which may help?
the =ref numbers will need to be changed to two elements in design

you can't write a label # POSZ+ minus some value.
you can create an element on some positionZ and then you can write a label # POSZ+
