new to pdms. setup my view of a steel floor plan. but all the lines came out as hidden or dash type. how can i change the linetype to continuous. appreciate your kind reply.
From Beams and Columns Application...
To set the steel spec for the beam, click on the hidden line, Modify> Section> Specification, locate and select the correct beam type and apply. You should see the geometry. If this does not work, and you have the default representation settings, you may have bigger problems.
You can perform this test --> click on any of the lines and type Q SPREF in the cmd line. If you get a result such as Spref /DESPAR-SPEC/Beam_with_design_parameter than your beam has a valid spref and the problem is with representation. Check representation settings Settings>Graphics>Steelwork. Check the settings and refer to the manuals. if all else fails, delete the content of the C:AVEVA/Plant/PDMSUSER folder after closing the session and open up the project. All of your settings should return to the default "Out of the Box" settings.
