how to Control the Precision for one dimension only

hi all,

under my layer "2K983021-736-1001/S1/V1/USER_Dims"

i have 10 dimensions i want only one dimension to be more precised.

could anyone help how to do it?

i can make mistake, but try this:
move this dimension to another layer. then change precision on this layer.

i did like that but my superior dont want to be look like that

the precision is controlled by the owning layer.
i tried to do what you are attempting to achieve but i couldnt work it out either so in the end i modified the layer creation defaults file and created a layer that has a 0.1 precision code or whatever it is
