try this in autocad (may be your last choice)
since centerline has its own layer once exported in autocad, you can use "layiso" command in autocad to select only this center line and try to explode, once it explode this pline will change to line.. then to turn on all layer just type "layon" on command line of autocad.. hope it helps...

I tried with your way.
but after export, Center line is coming as a BLOCK for each line respectively.
so we cannot select those center lines individuals.
