• I think you can select Style from STYLWR as like as for any other lines. Modify-Dimension-Dimension Colour and Font.
STYL should be created first in a library.
And the other option is to modify DRA-GEN-DIMLAY in order to set all styles and they will aplied automatically to all newly created dims
  • Had a call from a designer yesterday, complaining that when he plots stuff out the dimension lines are overly heaviily weighted.

Lookied into it and determined that the default colour for dimensions was white, which was translating on the plotter to the heaviest line weight.

Now I can over ride the default setting and get the drawings to plot, but I can't seem to find any STYL that relates to the dimensions and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction to change the default dimensioning colour.

Incidentally these are manually created dimensions rather than the ADP ones.

    TIA

  • Thanks Ruav

had a play around with your settings and the only thing that proved elusive was the fact that the dimension layer only appears to reference the DRA-GEN-DIMLAY at the time of initial creation.

Basically I had to create a drawing with a new dimension layer to get the settings to take.

    Thank you for the help
