In theory, having write access to a Draft Database, you could create yor own styles (colours) and representation rules.
But you have to do it using the Command Window as you do not have access to the Draft Admin User Interface.
Hi corrado, thank you for your response. I have access in Draft but not admin. How to I change the drawlist color using to command line?
I tried selecting for example a Beam on the view then select the Stru in the Design Explorer and I used in the draft command line "enhance ce col xxx" but did not work in Draft.
now how I can I create new RRST to make difference color reprensentaion if I don't have admin access?
If you do not have access to the Draft Administration User Interface but if you write access to a Draft Database, you can create needed elements using the Command Window.
I.e. NEW DEPT, NEW LIBY, NEW RPLB, NEW STYL, NEW RRST, NEW RRUL etc etc
You need to set correct attributes and references to those elements too.
This means having a very good knowledge of Draft Administration.
If you, your colleagues and your administrator are not experienced enough I would recommend you talk to your management and ask for specific training courses.
The scope of this forum is not giving "on-line" training but answers/suggestions to specific questions/issues.
I hope you understand
hi thank you all for your responses. I tried locating the Local rules as suggested. It changes the color of some items depending on the rule I selected. I am just a user, and requested our Admin to add more colors but unfortunately (sad to say) our admin was not really and experienced admin/user..I did not get a good response. With the RRST I was able to locate it and read some information in Draft Help...now how I can I create new RRST to make difference color reprensentaion if I don't have admin access?..Apologies for this but I really need your help so me and the rest of my teammates can improve our draft output. thank you so much.
