#PML(!!CE.DDNA.DESC.UPCASE() is the syntax what I need. This makes it possible to call the properties of the reference. Thank you.

BTEXT '#PML(!!CE.DDNA.DESC.UPCASE())

but make sure on GLAB the DDNA is set as the EQUI and not any of the Primitive or other element of EQUI.
If your Glab is connected to any of the primitive than you need to alter the code accordingly.
