Main problem with glabs/slabs is that, they are connected to some element (ddname atribute). If element is moved, glab is moved too, if its removed, glab diseapear too. U can turn off OSET atribute, that mean glab position is not taken from connected element, but from owner (laye) and glab will not move. But glab's leader will still be pointing on connected element.
Another way is update only graphic and then reconnect every glab / slab & dim.
