I'm facing a little issue here with a Satellite location, I've got a few DBs with FATAL error, including the Global DB (glb file) and the System DB on this location. For the DBs that have fatal error but are not system DBs I'll just reconfigure them, however for the Global DB, since it should be the same in all locations, does that mean that I can just replace the one with error in my satellite for the good one sitting on my Hub? theoretically it should work. The other one with FATAL error is the System DB, on the integrity check report it's coming with "FATAL ERRORS" however if I try to use the System Repair option in the Utilities menu of Admin, I get the message that the System DB does not require repair, has anyone ever faced this kind of situation?
First of all stop global, so that you can work properly on hub, with no delivery of problematic data.
If you have the virgin glb database for the location use that file.
examine what causes "FATAL ERRORS". Check if interconnection macros shoudl be started. Normally it should not cause fatal error but for any case do it.
For other problematic databases , use standard admin functionalities for repair (patch). Reconfigure with same ref should be the last solution.
Remove transaction databases from on locations (or replace existing on every location with the appropriate virgin one) so that global can start normaly after databases are repaired.
