Dear All, our E3D project contains a total of 1500 databases that have to be exchanged via Global. I have some doubts that the software will work proberly. Are there any experiences?

    Thanks in advance!

    Global doesn't "exchange" entire databases.
    It just "synchronize" them.
Only "differences" are sent across from Hub to Sats and viceversa.
So a relatively small amount of data is passed on the network (it depends also on other factors like band width, synchronization frequency, etc etc )
Have you ever attended any Aveva Global training course?

Yes, I had a global course some years ago and know the fact that only "differences" are sent. Nevertheless the software has to look into each database, you agree? All 1500 databases are allocated at one SAT.

Global is on the market since decades.
It has been proven on hundreds of projects.
1500 databases are nothing compared to the maximum number of databases in a project (theoretically 255.000).
Only databases with differences are synchronized.
    I wouldn't be worried.
Anyway, it would be great if you could post your feedback and experience on the ongoing project  in a few months!

We've had over 1000 databases synchronizing between 9 locations before. 95% time it worked good, the other time it was IT changing something with us knowing.
